Each Artists Classroom is created as a series of online art classes, where you can be part of the entire journey or select an a-la-carte schedule!

Through comprehensive and interactive demonstrations, our instructors will teach you step-by-step sharing invaluable techniques and motivating you to create stunning masterpieces.

2026 WORKSHOP SERIES
Brushing Up: The Principles of Painting
with Kathleen Dunphy
Beginning November 3rd, you will join nationally-recognized artist and popular workshop instructor,Kathleen Dunphy, for a 4 week series. She will guide you through the foundational principles of painting: from creating compelling compositions to mixing accurate colors and creating interesting surface textures, this comprehensive course will help you to better understand how to improve your work.
In the final week, Kathleen will discuss her ideas for continuing to grow and learn through your art journey and provide tips on critiquing your own work.
Live online classes will take place every Tuesday of November from 1:00 to 3:00 pm ET. Recordings of these sessions will be available on demand until 30 days after the last workshop in the series.


Exploring Acrylic and Mixed Media Techniques
with Jean Pederson
Beginning May 30 this six-part series is an exploration of acrylic painting and mixed media techniques, from foundational principles to the integration of collage and found objects in your work. You'll learn about viscosity, transparency, and surface qualities so you can choose the products that will enable you to meet your artistic objectives. You'll examine the role of value in creating a strong composition. You'll embellish paper to create original collage elements, and learn to layer those elements into your painting. Finally, you'll practice using these techniques to create both a landscape and an animal portrait.
Internationally celebrated artist Jean Pederson will be your guide as you expand the possibilities of your acrylic painting practice.
Live online classes will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 pm ET on the 4th Saturday of each month from May 2026 through October 2026.

Find Your Own Voice in Watercolor
with Iain Stewart
Award-winning watercolor artist Iain Stewart will introduce you to the tools, techniques, and practices that will allow you to find and express your unique point of view in your artwork. From warming up and planning your paintings to using your sketchbook to explore composition, Iain will show you the habits that enable you to grow at your own pace. By examining specific approaches to both the natural landscape and urban settings, you'll learn how to avoid the pitfalls that cause many paintings to disappoint.
Only you have your own unique way other seeing the world and recording it through your art.
Iain's goal is to help you find that voice.
Live online classes take place monthly from 1:00 to 3:00 pm ET July to October 2026 on the 1st or 2nd Thursday.
